Re: So who has owned a Cobalt boat the longest?
I bought a 2001 190 in 2006 and sold it in 2019. Then bought my current R5 Surf. So that makes 16 years of consecutive cobalt ownership. When I went to the boat show this spring nothing ever tempted me, especially after seeing the price of new boats.

Re: Boat Insurance
Definitely not Progressive. They are good at taking your premium but not so good at paying a claim. It took them almost a month to get a adjuster to actually look at the boat before he would approve ordering parts and then wanted to do as cheaply as possible. They wanted to weld a crack in the lower...

Re: Lake shoes! Anyone recommend good lake shoes?
I have a pair of Keen Uneek sandals that I usually wear to the lake. They are waterproof but are good for hiking, the biggest downfall is it’s kind of a hassle to get sand out of them.

Re: Adding XM Radio
SiriusXM has a premonition right now $60 dollars for a year subscription. I renewed my boat today even though I only use it about four months out of the year. They said I could cancel any time and get a refund of the balance not used. Have a link? I got a email about it. I just called 855-534 3991 ...

Re: New R8 Surf
Two things I would like to have on a surf boat are a rudder indicator and the side surf tow ball mounts.
