We have a lot of Colbalts on Tenkiller Lake. I always see several every time I go out.

That's funny! Right before i changed my sig line I had been talking with my buddy that owns our marina about getting a bigger slip and he said all he has now is 28' available. Seriously, with that motor out I'd sure freshen her up. It won't cost that much extra for new rings, bearings, bushings, gaskets and seals. Then you KNOW your motor is good to go for a long time. it would give you a good opportunity to check your risers and manifolds too. The engine overheat may be...
