Welcome Z.
Nice ride.
You didn't say where you're from or where you boat.
Lifts are really worth the money. IMO.

Re: 2001 8.1 Gi Maintenance
I have had very good luck, if you know the actual Volvo Penta part number, in sourcing parts off of Amazon. One great thing there, is being able to get parts fast if needed. There are many sellers on Amazon, so you can compare prices of genuine Volvo parts with several different sellers. +1 I put a...

Re: Transom Lights on R6 Surf
I would like to add the transom lights to a 2023 R6 Surf. Where are these lights installed from the factory? Is there an existing plug I can utilize for the wiring? If so, where is it? Thanks, Joe There are several threads here on the subject. The one I was most interested in was a light at the dra...

Re: Arc electric wake boat
I've been thinking about electric. Told my wife our taxes would not be so high if we'd bought a Tesla last year. Then I bought a top-of-the-line Ego lawn mower. I'm anti-electric now. I have to charge it in the middle of mowing my yard, which it less than a half acre. When it's really hot, I have to...

I try not to be jealous of other people's life, but Bruce makes it hard. Thanks for the picks. I really miss snow skiing.

Re: Cobalt Fender Clips
This was a great tip!!! We just bought a 2019 CS22 and the boat has female fender clip receptacles, but no clips. I bought the male clips from Big Sky Precision: 1/2” PHENDER PRO® QUICK-RELEASE FENDER HOLDER / BSPA-1180 And they are a perfect fit. $62.99 each. I put them on today. Good find and inf...

Re: Arc electric wake boat
I'm not considering electric vehicles. I looked at a Tesla and told my wife if we'd bought one last year, we would be getting a tax refund instead owing. Then I bought the top end Eco lawn more. They claimed it would cut up to 1.5 acres and run up to 1.5 hours. I sometimes have to charge it twice ju...

Re: R3 - engine size
We have the 300HP in our R3. Gets on plane easily and goes as fast as we want to go. Pulls skiers and tubes out easily. I don't think about calling it amazing because we're not speed freaks. I've never even taken the Bimini down to see the top end speed.

Re: Boat Capacity
I've never seen a 14 to18 person capacity on a boat. Most go from 12 to Yacht Certified. Aren't the R7 and R8 Yacht Certified?

Re: New Batteries
We're in a 2019 R3, so I'm very interested in this thread. All the boats we've owned have had Interstate batteries and we've had no problems. Due to the age of our boat, I'm looking at a portable charged unit to carry on the boat. Then I'll probably try to put the exact battery Cobalt put in when it...

Re: Thoughts on dark colors for bottom of boat
We have Navy bottom and blue sides and have had no issues yet. Just finished our 5th year of ceramic coating. We'll address that this spring. 5 seasons of boating and it still looks brand new. We do have a covered lift and use the mooring cover so it's out of the sun and water most of the time.

Re: Oil Analysis
Anyone here have their oil analyzed by someone like Blackstone? I have not, but decided to have the oil that came out of my VP 300 analyzed this year. Engine: 2014 VP 300 (5.7, raw water cooled) 287hrs. Oil: Volvo Penta 10w30 mineral oil, 60hrs Their comments: "The mechanical parts didn't put ...
