Re: Cobalt Mooring cover
I have both type of covers and they all work well. We use our mooring cover when we trailer our boat or when it’s stored on the trailer short term. The cover attaches well and is secure for trailering with ratchet straps. It does take a little longer to put on than the snap on bow and cockpit cover....

Replace Seagrass
Does anyone know if I can purchase replacement Seagrass for my 2018 R7 from Cobalt or have any other option for purchase ? My existing Seagrass is starting to wear and the back rubber backing is drying out.

Re: Thoughts on dark colors for bottom of boat
I have a black on black R7 that we ordered that looks like the day we took delivery. However it does require attention I detail it in the spring and upkeep it thru out the season. It all depends on how much time you have to keep your boat clean. It spends the summer in a lake and there is no visible...

Re: HELP! With my new R7
I did get the underwater lighting on our build, I was also thinking of installing it. So keep us informed on your progress I may follow you. Our sea grass is a light brown so the gray will not work. Someone will definitely be interested in buying it.

Re: HELP! With my new R7
We have a 2018 R7 and our wakeboard tower is manual. We just unscrew the keeper screws and pull down on tower until it locks into down position. It does take a little muscle to pull it down. When we ordered the boat I don’t recall an electric option. Our air compressor is mounted under the aft port ...

Re: Extended warranty 2018 R7 Surf
I have a 2018 R7 that we purchased new and did take out the extended warranty from Brunswick. I did ask prior to purchase knowing they were associated with Mercury and confirmed coverage on our Volvo. We have had two claims that were seamless and handled completely by our dealer. If I was planning o...

Re: 2013 Cobalt R5 Purchasing Question
We had an R7 built and chose a black hull and we much prefer this as opposed to our old light colored boat. No more work than if you keep up on your wash and preventive cosmetic work. And yes you don’t see the ring around the hull. Everyone has different tastes that why there are so many color combi...

Re: 2002 293
We boat on Long Island and we have a marina that provides high and dry storage, they have an app you tell them when you want to go out and the boat is put in the water and waiting at the dock, when you return it’s taken out washed down covered and put back in the rack. We don’t even have bottom pain...

I can tell you on our 2018 R7 they do light up on the inside. We had one go out and repaired under warranty.

Re: New Owner 2023 R6
When we purchased our boat we purchased both, The morning cover is made of a heavier duty fabric and offers more protection for the boat. We use it when we trailer and if the boat is going to be out for extended periods. The mooring cover takes a little more time to put on than the Tonneau covers co...
