Re: Lee tackles a faded blue Cobalt

I use Fire Glaze Plus on everything, its great stuff. I followed his exact advise and my boat has that same mirror finish. I get so many compliments at the launch, even held up the line having people looking at the boat. It's not hard just very time consuming, but the results are worth it. My boat a...

Re: 242 with a head

When looking for specifics like that I would just type in the year Cobalt brochure in Google and look at the specifications and options. I think they stopped publishing around 2015 or so. Also look at used boats for sale in the year and model you are looking at.

Re: Lee tackles a faded blue Cobalt

You will definitely be amazed at the outcome. You will end up doing the entire boat. I even did the bottom and nothing sticks to it anymore. It’s just very time consuming.

Re: Lee tackles a faded blue Cobalt

Lee does great work and is very informational. A buddy and myself had the opportunity to stop and see his work in person while in Lake Chelan for work. I followed his every word as well as his technique and my boat came out almost perfect. The products he recommends are the cats meow! I took his adv...

If that mechanic did not tell you or even offer to change the oil after the break in period, I would lose his number and run fast!

Re: SeaDek for swim platform- 2010 222. Cost?

Update! after responding to an email from Aqua Marine, they went dark. However, several weeks later a box showed up. They sent out a new piece to replace the one with the line going through it and new pieces for the walk through with the texture matching the other pieces. It's great that a company t...

Re: Quick release fender hanger locations

I installed the Phender Pro 1/2" on our boat and they have been the best MOD I have done so far. I was able to locate the factory Cobalt fender lines with quick releases cheap. Very easy for the family to put the bumpers out when docking. We frequent two lakes in our area and have not had an is...

Re: SeaDek for swim platform- 2010 222. Cost?

Well I can tell you who not to use, Aqua Marine Deck. They are plastered all over facebook. I did their Black Friday deal and it was $379.00 for the swim deck and walk through. Here is my experience, -The templates they had for the 222 were close but I still had to modify them to fit my boat. Becaus...

Re: Swim platform ladder for 2007 232

No sure you will be able to find a new one. I was told they are not being made anymore. They made the same ladder but in a 3 step version that came on cobalts starting around 2011 from my understanding. I would love to find a 3 step version to replace my 2 step. That’s exactly how mine looked, all c...

Re: Swim platform telescoping ladder for 2007 232

I rebuilt mine this past winter. Put in new Teflon washer, stainless washers and straighten everything out. I noticed that when extended the metal appeared to be tarnished. (Lots of brown color) I ended polishing the entire ladder and mount with my bench polisher which removed all the brown tarnishi...
