Re: Dealer Problems
When I read this, I thought did they buy from Parks Marina as well? I couldn't get the service dept there to fix anything correctly or not F anything else up, IE busted my brake controller off the trailer and ran the batteries dead when they left the key and disconnect on at the last visit(I had exp...

Re: New to me 2023 CS22 and First time boat owner
Being a new boater you might be better off without a dual prop. It will have less response giving you a "softer" docking experience. I am sure it will also have enough power to get you anywhere you need to go at a beginner pace.

Re: Which 220S?
Do either of you know mechanically what VP is doing to get the extra horsepower out of the 4.3 or 5.3. From the spec sheet, I'm showing the 4.3 can be (200, 250 and 280). If the 4.3 280 is operating at the top ending of the horsepower spectrum for the encasement, does that shorten the lifespan? Doe...

Re: Which 220S?
So you would think it's not worth getting a 300? I've never driven the V6 280. I agree with Johns reply above, again. We have a 21 CS23 with the VP 300 V8. this engine is overkill. They are all limited somewhat on topend and if thats what you wanted you definitely wouldnt be looking into a Cobalt i...

Re: anyone have spy shots of the new CS series?
That looks like absolute dog sh.... I really wish they would have renamed the boat as well, this generic little tikes malibu version will greatly tarnish the CS reputation

Re: Flip down swim step
Is there a coring material in there - looks like it, but I can't tell from the picture. Hard to say why this happened, maybe was not laid up correctly and the fiberglass did not bond to the coring water could have gotten into the core -- who knows and it really doesn't matter at this point. It can ...

There's some pretty impressive automotive glues out, have you talked with a bodyshop? Ive glued some snowmobile hoods back together for short term fixes and they never did break again

Re: CS23 will not shift into gear.
The shifter moves freely (revs engine) in both forward and reverse. I checked the fluid level in the drive about 20 hours ago and it was full. There are no signs of leaks from the drive. The drive is out of the water on the lift and visual inspection showed nothing. Our lakes are extremely low righ...

Re: 2012 242
I'm still convinced the Cobalts of this style and era are the best values out there right now, despite spending $50k+ on a used midsized bowrider. I don't hate the new designs and their migration toward wakeboarding boats, but I like the old styles just as well and they were built to another level....

Re: CS23 Boat with CS22 Trailer?
With the amount these trailers cost and being brand new off the lot, the trailer should be the correct one. Period. While I dont have a pic of my strap hooked up, like mentioned it should be near vertical and straight line to be of any function. With the trailer being too short this is not allowing ...
