Re: What are you listening to.....
Now that is very cool Driller. You are quite the musician in my book. Nice job my friend. ...and thanks for introducing me to John Prine. Hopefully he is entertaining with the big choir upstairs now. 8-) Thanks for the undeserved compliments. Surprised you haven't heard of him. He was from the midw...

Re: What are you listening to.....
John Prine passed due to Covid on April 7th. He was 10 years older than me. He was like that big brother I never had, who has headed off into the world and periodically drops in back home, doling out wisdom and life lessons. He was a lighthouse. For more than 40 years of my life I waited for album a...

Re: NO ECM DATA on Volvo 5.0 270 HP No crank no start
Had the same problem. Here's the reset which I did on my 2011 242. It has never acted up since. Mine showed the same "No ECM DATA" warning. Turn the key off. Remove the lanyard Turn the key on and repeatedly hit the button which the lanyard keeps retracted. It will take 10-12 times. At som...

Re: What upgrades have you done to your boat?
Driller does it hold up in rough water? I’ve tried these types of mounts before and ended up just scratching my frame. If this one holds up, let us know for I know I’d be interested in getting one. 😁 I've run through some rough water over the weekend and there was no problem with the mount or mirro...

Re: Volvo 380-c-b 2013 Sea Water pump leaking
Mine did the same at the start of the season. It seems there is a seal on the shaft which drives the impeller thru the pump housing. Mine was a fairly quick drip and only when the engine was up to operating temp. I think they replaced the entire housing to solve the problem, but not sure. It wasn't ...

Re: What do you think about cracking the seal on the fuel tank
I always fill mine and add Stabil 360. No problems so far. Can't tell any difference in the way the boat runs at the first of the season. We only usually have a few days below freezing here, but there is a lot of temperature swing. Not unusual to have a few days in the upper 60's during Jan / Feb.

Re: Decisions on buying
I own a 2011 242. You're going to lose some space and storage in the R3, but I think it is the better deal in the long run. Especially if you plan on trailering. My dock neighbor has a new R5 and there is far less space (or it appears so) than my boat.

LP Greenhouse heater
Installing a greenhouse and won't have electricity run until some time next spring. I want to use a liquid propane heater during the winter. Need one with a thermostatic control so the main burner turns on and off. Even in winter, the glass greenhouse will heat up during the day. I want to run it of...
