Have you tried using a strap wrench? If that doesn't work, you might want to give penetrating oil a shot. Let it soak for a while to loosen things up.

If someone tops off your hydraulic reservoir (which uses a red power steering fluid) with the hatch up, it will squirt out the rams when the hatch is closed.
