I had a R7S with the velcro and zip on canvas cover on the folding tower. It started to fail after 4 years (tearing at some of the seams) and they replaced the enitre cover under warranty.

I can only comment on my R8 and yes it was an additional option for purchase. I have a stainless steel button on the dash in line with the other for lighting and other that says something like "logo light" that illuminates the R8 emblem on the transom.

WIll add my .02 here. New 22 R8S and same thing on the fuel guage after 4 tanks. The first tank went from 100%, to 60% to 30% and then almost instantly went to 0% fuel level. I thought about this as well. As we have several big weekends coming up with lots for friends and family I will be experimenting with the amount of water in the tanks before shelling out the bucks to change the pitch.

So the trim tab indicators are offered on the non surf models but not on the Surf models, My R8S has the tabs and yes I wish I had some indicators. I've asked my dealer and they have said cobalts response had somthing to do with performance mode on the surf models but no other explanation was given...

Did Cobalt say why the trim tabs do not have indicators. States that they come with it in the options chart. No, my dealer even inquired and they just told him they aren't on the surf model. On my option sheet for my build it just says "trim tabs w/o autoglide", nothing about indicators.

I don't know exact height, but I do know that with the tower up it will not fit in a 12ft OH door. With the tower down it will fit barely in a 12ft OH door so I would concur with the above that around 11' 5" is close to correct. I also have the prisma tower and a boatmate trailer.

Very nice, can't wait to see another R8S on Texoma this summer!
