Re: Trailer tires

Trailer I picked up last fall has power king tow max tires with date code of 2020. Previous owner only used trailer to move back and forth for winter storage. No other trailering so tires look brand new. We trailer a lot so I'm thinking about upgrading tires. Any thoughts about this? Maxxis 8008 or...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

Just bought a new 2024 GMC Denali 2500HD with the 6.6L gasoline engine to replace our 18 F150.

You probably already know this but the port battery is the battery that starts your engine. Since it is new, you can just buy a new AGM battery for the starboard side.

Re: Battery Question

I saw your question on the Facebook site. You can have any type of batteries since both Flooded and AGM are both lead acid batteries and have similar charge profiles. No charger you will ever use, including the boats alternator, would be able to differentiate between the two. If it was my "new ...

That would be Goodyear Endurance tires. :D

Re: Salt Water for the Weekend

Sounds pretty mellow. Been in the Straight of Georgia north of you with a small craft warning and in a 20' boat...was not fun and we headed back to shore after getting beat up after awhile.

Done what you are planning on doing a number of times going through the locks into Puget sound. You should have ZERO issues with the combo of tide and winds.

Re: Oil Analysis

What viscosity oil does the manual suggest using? I would be surprised if it was 10W30 but I don't know what Volvo recommends these days. It's their own 10W-40 synthetic. Recommendation if that's not available is to use that or higher (i.e., no 5W-40, 10W-30, etc.), but also specifying that it be N...

I was wondering the same. Of course Super dangerous to be doing that on a non surf model.

When I do fiberglass repairs, I always use the West system products. They have a lot of fillers and additives too that will make your job much easier. Check out their website.

Re: New R6...Registration letter font and anchor suggestions

Fortress anchor Fx-7 fits in the anchor box of my R5. Awesome anchor. I use 25' of 1/4" chain. It can hold my boat in 20 MPH wind on Lake Tahoe. I have a box anchor on my pontoon boat and I use it on muddy bottoms. It basically doesn't hold at all in any kind of wind...it basically controls my ...
