Trim tabs on CS23?

Hi All I have no experience and very little knowledge with trim tabs. That said, I do read about them on this site. We have a 2021 CS23 and it works great, but the seating is such that most passengers are on the port side and the boat seems to lean that way. Would trim tabs be an option for a CS23? ...

Snap Cover vs Mooring Cover on CS23

Hi all, we’ve had our 2021 CS23 for just over a year now. Overall has been great. One issue has been the snap on cover. The day we took the boat home brand new the cover came loose on the interstate and almost blew completely off. Needless to say it was not ideal. Many of the snaps ripped off, etc. ...

Re: Snap OR Mooring Cover

Hey everyone I have a 2021 CS23 that we picked up early August of last year. On my 120 mile drive from the boat dealer to our lake in MN the snap cover just about came fully off. Ripped a bunch of the snaps and one of the posts blew out. As you can imagine it was a bit scary. The dealer and I had co...

Re: R4 430hp Volvo or Mercruiser

For what it’s worth, my last boat was a Volvo (not a cobalt) and my CS23 from last year we went with the Merc 350. I love the Merc and am glad we went with it. It’s already been said, but definitely a better sound. And in MN there are way more Merc dealers versus Volvo….so that went into it as well.

New CS23 arrived

Hey everyone. Ordered our CS23 on 1/4/21 and it arrived on 8/2. We’ve got about 5 hours on it so far and love it. The hole shot is amazing compared to our 2005 Larson we had. Looking forward to many hours of fun. Tested top speed quick this morning and hit 55mph. Engine is the Mercruiser 350hp.

CS23 cooler space dimensions

I’ve got a CS23 arriving in a few weeks. Does anyone know the dimensions of the cooler space under the seat behind the drivers seat? I want to look at Yeti options that fit into that space but I’m not sure on length x width x depth. Let me know if anyone knows that on a recent year CS23 (mine is a 2...

Re: Sad changes in the dealer network

So Erickson last Cobalt? Shoot! My CS23 should be here in August at Erickson! Think it’s fine to still go there for service and warranty work?

Re: Delivery delayed

Thanks for the comments Dustin. We supposedly got into an already existing order slot that we then customized, but who knows. It is what it is. I’ll obviously wait it out.

Delivery delayed

Ordered a new CS23 on January 4th. Build date was 5/18. Then it was pushed to 6/8, now they called me and said it was mid-July….which probably means late August completion. I get that some things can’t be controlled but it’s sure frustrating that the seem to have no idea on timing. I’m frustrated.

Build Date Delay

Hey everyone. Ordered my CS23 on 1/5/21. The build date (start date) was May 18th until last week. Now today they told me it was moved to 6/8. Sounds like typically it’s 5-6 weeks after build date for delivery. Just an FYI more than anything. Bummer that I just lost 3 weeks.....but it is what it is.

Re: CS23 versus R3

We ordered a CS23 and it should be here in June. The dealer had both a 22 and a 23. For us the extra foot is worth the money. A foot is a foot and I’ll take the extra room. The 22 is obviously right for some people but I wanted the extra room.

Re: saw this on the local dealer's website

I’ve sat on that boat. That’s the dealer where I ordered my CS23 last month. It’s a beautiful boat. The navy with red stripe looks awesome. That price is retail. I actually asked Scott the sales guy what it would go for and I think he said something like $180k.

Re: A few questions to ponder--looking for insights from the gurus

I live in MN and we didn’t have our boat show this year. I would have gone if they’d had it. Good question on the weight for boat lift. I think you’d be fine with a quality 5000lb lift but might as well go for 6000 if you can. I bought a brand new lift 2 years ago. Just decided I didn’t want to mess...
