Re: 220 Interior + Cupholder Lights

Thanks for the responses. I will actually be going to the boat this weekend so good timing. I did locate another thread and they mentioned about changing the entire light housing with an LED update vs individual bulbs. As long as I dont have to cut any larger holes, that will be much simpler and mor...

Re: DuoProp Align / Clocking

Thanks for all of the feedback. I know most of us have already put away their Cobalt's in storage so no way to get real world data until things warm up quite a bit, especially here in the Northeast. A little boat talk, even if limited, is always a good thing to keep us engaged until the first spring...

Re: Side Panels on Cover

Just seeing this thread about the side skirts. Do you have any closer pictures of how these are attached with the velcro? I have the Westland cover but want to add side skirts for improved protection. Too much time and effort to shine the gelcoat just to see the sun fade it by mid summer. My boat is...

220 Interior + Cupholder Lights

Hi All, I had replied to an old thread that I had started a few years back in the 10 Series forum but no takers so far. Trying to confirm the bulb type for the small interior lights. I have a 2006 220 and previously purchased these bulbs but cant find my old paperwork and the boat is a few hours awa...

DuoProp Align / Clocking

Hi Everyone, I have a DuoProp on my 220 and just saw a mention online about aligning or clocking the props. Had never given this any thought but I did notice last year that after painting the outdrive and changing the drive oil that my top speed was down about 5 MPH. Obviously new oil and fresh pain...

Re: Interior Lighting + Depth Gauge Issue

Happy New Year All. Needed to revisit this post to refresh my memory. On my 2006 220, I replaced the interior lights with blue LED's but re-thinking this for a switch to red (fewer bugs and night vision). Cant locate my old bulb order and not near the boat. What type bulb is used on these lights? I ...

Re: 8.1 Volvo GXI Down on Power

A quick follow-up on this issue as well. Wasnt a coil problem after all, but ended up being a combo of the plugs needing to be replaced and a bad plug wire. I replaced both of these and back to normal. Purchased the coil but never even took it out of the box so will return. Thank you all for your re...

Re: 2007 220 Gas Tank Access

As a follow-up on this topic, I did access the fuel tank top, and what a pain it is to reach. Figured I would pass along some tips to make it easier. As SAB mentioned, located under the starboard rear seat but toward the center pretty much under the center walk. The phillips screws are very tiny and...

Re: 2007 220 Gas Tank Access

Thanks for the feedback SAB, I will pick one of those up. Another thread that I subsequently found had a part link for a 3/8" sized fitting. https://www.cobaltchat.com/viewtopic.php?t=6641 On the other filter, is that inside the engine bay or the seat compartment? I find it odd that there is a ...

2007 220 Gas Tank Access

Hi all,

I have a 2007 220 with some performance issues (separate thread in the VP forum). One thing that I want to replace is the Anti-siphon valve as I am not sure that this has ever been replaced. How would I access the fuel tank area to get to this and change this out?

Thanks

Re: 8.1 Volvo GXI Down on Power

Bruce, you are correct about the coils being primary and secondary, vs high low.

Anyone have info on aftermarket coils for the 8.1? I am sure the VP units are crazy dough, and being a GM engine, has to be a cross reference for a GM coil.

Big Block Boys, where you be? :-)

Does anyone know which interface I would need to hook up a scan tool? I have auto scan tools (VAG-COM) but clearly no OBD port on the VP.

Re: Adding boot stripe to 220

It would be easy to add this with vinyl. Lots of color options and you can add or subtract as needed. A sign shop or car wrap shop would be able to do this. Some even specialize in marine applications.

8.1 Volvo GXI Down on Power

Hi, This is such a great source of information to solve issues or point people in the proper direction, so I wanted to tap into the knowledge base. I have a 2007 220 with the 8.1 GXI. Has been running great but suddenly down on power. Was out for a drive at normal speeds and then went into a larger ...

Re: Launching Chaos

To expand on Kate's point above, My belief is that a lot of the launching "chaos" for couples and families could be greatly decreased if EVERYONE was actively engaged in the process. There is a process and steps that ALWAYS need to happen to make a launch successful. These don't magically ...
