Re: ACR (VSR) Location & Discussion

How was your VSR wired? I presume you have a battery switch off-on-combine?

Did you have one starting and one house? Which battery was which(port and starboard)?

How did you connect the new ACR? Which model ACR did you use?

Thanks again!

Re: A-Series Hydraulic Swim Platform Sensor

Wow, what a convenient location!!! I can see why the dealer didn’t care to replace it or even check it out!

More pics would be great. Thank you!

Re: A-Series Hydraulic Swim Platform Sensor

Where is the acr physically located?

I’ve been looking for mine, and I cannot seem to find it.

I’ve been needing to put my battery switch into the “both” position a lot- I’m not sure that it is working properly- it would help me trouble shoot to see how it’s set up. The dealer just says, it’s fine.

Upgrade to premium bimini or folding tower?

Anyone ever upgrade from an A25 standard bimini to a premium Bimini (or folding tower)? How did it go? How much work?

Anyone ever install an A28 bimini on an A25?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fender storage compartments/fenders

I have 8” Taylor Made fenders in my fender storage compartments- they seem a little tight/difficult to get out. They are the thru-rope style vs the eye style and I use the cobalt fender clips. The bags seem to collect small amounts of water. The dealer was supposed to install some sort of drain, but...

Re: Dual battery switch/ACR?

I prefer the ACR functionality with the Off/On/Combine style switch, and I purchased one from the dealer. I just didn’t want to do any harm in installing it by adding it to a boat that already has one or has an isolating diode somewhere I’m not looking. Also, I’ve read that both batteries should be ...

Flip out bow seat hinge

I kneeled upon the port side, flip-out bow seat filler that extends from the compartment between the cockpit and the bow on my 2011 A25. The Star-board cushion base normally rests upon a stainless bar attached to the bench seat in the front of the bow, but is slipped off/down and hyperextended the h...

Dual battery switch/ACR?

I have a 2011 A25 with the Off/On/Combine dual battery switch from Blue Sea. As I understand, this switch is intended to be combined with an ACR or isolation relay. I’m unable to find either component- perhaps someone can point me in the right direction? I did inquire with a local dealer… they said ...

Re: New Intakes and a New Product Line I am Building

Looks nice! What’s the practical impact/goal of this aftermarket product? I am genuinely interested in learning as I have limited experience. I know my car requires a different throttle body and tune to gain performance with an aftermarket cold air intake, and as someone indicated, the intake is not...

Hydraulic Swim Platform parts available?

I bought a 2011 A25, and it was advertised as having the hydraulic swim platform- turns out it doesn’t have the option, but I went ahead w/ the purchase anyway. I have mixed feelings- pretty cool when it works, but lots of problems reported from those that have it? Any possibility of adding the feat...

Re: Independent Bow Stop without Windlass?

It’s not an EZ Loader, but it’s also not a Loadmaster! It’s a semi-custom from a Florida aluminum trailer shop - >10k lb GVWR, so plenty of reserve capacity on - frame, axles and wheels/tires. Eoh disc brakes on both axles, length and bunks to accommodate the boat and made to fit in my storage space...

Independent Bow Stop without Windlass?

I’ve seen some people use an independent “V” block bow stop on boats without a through hull windlass/anchor. I recognize it is required w/ windlass option, but is it preferred to an integrated bow stop/roller for a boat without the windlass? I’m ordering a trailer for an A25, and trying to decide if...

Re: Trailer for A25

Snowman, why do you dislike aluminum so much? Have you had negative experiences? I would think a well built aluminum trailer would be just as good as steel? What am I missing? I’ve been in touch with loadmaster and they have excellent (not yet) customer service. Their product is clearly quality. Tho...
