Re: Remove Windlass Anchor
HI, Are your removing the windlass completely? I would be interested in purchasing possibly. Would have to check compatibility with my 282 and its anchor locker.

Re: Cobalt 282 Center Cushion for U-Settee
Sorry I did not make this very clear. The boat was on the trailer coming home from a day on the water at pictured rocks. Way too many miles to backtrack to search for it sadly.

Cobalt 282 Center Cushion for U-Settee
The securing straps snapped on the center seat filler cushion on my 282. It is the cushion that fills in the lounge and rests on the teak of the walkthrough. It blew out of the boat somewhere between Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the Mackinaw Bridge while trailering the boat home. Yes, my wi...

Re: Where to put name on stern of 2006 Cobalt 282.
1. If boating on a river Styx would be a good name. Alas I am stuck on beautiful Lake Michigan. 2. The "Tommy Shaw" would be slightly weird I think. :) 3. The boat name is "One Day" because I bought it to use one day a year to watch the Blue Angels and / or Thunderbirds on the wa...

Re: Where to put name on stern of 2006 Cobalt 282.
A. Thanks.
B. Tommy Shaw is awesome!
C. The graphic (F-18 jet ) needs to be tall as it is going vertical. Too short and it looks distorted. That is why I am trying to figure out how to get as much space up from swim platform.
D. I do have too much time also!

Where to put name on stern of 2006 Cobalt 282.
Hello all, Has anyone come up with a reasonable/creative way to put the boat's name on a 282? The hinges for the engine hatch are defeating the sign company. The graphic for the name requires the maximum amount of vertical space I can obtain. Any pictures anyone has would be welcome. (This is my win...

Re: Found My "HO"
That is a pretty boat. Congratulations on finding what you were looking for. Hard to do in today's market.
I have to admit being a little sad the 282 with 8.1 Volvo club is losing a member
Have fun on the new boat!

Re: Shifting on Volvo Penta 8.1 liter Duo Props
Great insight Matt. Thanks! Will troubleshoot it as you define. It is in both forward and reverse. Not difficult to shift but difficult to drop out of gear into neutral. Makes docking just a bit harder than it needs to be. (but at least I didn't run into three boats in Suttons Bay in high wind as gu...

Thanks. I will do so. Wanted to get some background information if this was more than simple adjustment. Internet always embellishes when searching for an issue's history or pervasiveness

Shifting on Volvo Penta 8.2 liter Duo Props
Hi all, Hope everyone had a great boating season. Getting more work done on my 2005 282 as we are definitely in slow boating time here in MI! Quick background. Marina where I purchased boat replaced shift cables to both drives at time of purchase. At test drive neutral was not easily found and techn...

Thanks. Got it just in time to go under the shrink wrap! BBP, you have a choice when listening to a wife? Are you sure?:)
Matt, I just had the glass swim platform which was a bit grungy so nothing had to be removed. Hope all is well.
Mark.

Re: Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad
Hi All, Attached are some before and after pics of the boat with full Aquamarine floor for any that might be considering this type of flooring. I think I like it much better than the bare floor or the carpet. Now I just need to finish the actual teak in the transom walkway which I admit is now embar...

Re: Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad
I will post pics when finished. Yes 3 & 4 are in the head compartment. There is a shelf / ledge there and then the floor obviously. BBP - "discount" on boat work?? Asking that might get you banned!

Re: Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad
Thanks all. Interesting feedback. Going with teak color and black lines so hopefully cleaning won't be as bad. We deal with mostly sand here so we will see how it holds up. Attaching rendering for the selected pattern. "COBALT" on anchor locker will run bow to stern, opposite of picture.

Re: Cobalt 282 with twin 8.1 L Volvos
Hi, As you can see from delay in response much fun was had this summer with boat. Highlight was running around Georgian Bay at cottage and watching Blue Angels with family and friends in Traverse City MI. One update was once I got the boat home I really liked the lines and decided against putting a ...
