Re: Second year member, second Cobalt

Doubtful there will be a “third year, third Cobalt” story next year unless there’s also a “won the lottery” story first :D . Really love the R5, which was always a boat to dream of owning...

Re: Second year member, second Cobalt

All done for this season, sorry to say. But already looking forward to next year. Thanks to the great folks at Boats by George, we love our R5 and had a great summer on Lake George.

Re: Second year member, second Cobalt

Didn’t occur to me about the Cowboys...! Actually a Browns fan (now at least some excitement there!)
But here in upstate NY, it’s mostly Giants and Patriots...

Re: Second year member, second Cobalt

That's awesome. So what do you miss from the CS? What do you like more about the r5 other than 2 feet longer and more room. What engine did you have in the CS? We really liked the CS22, which had the Volvo 280 V6, just felt that a little bigger and heavier boat would work better for Lake George, wh...

Second year member, second Cobalt

IMG_3836.jpg R5 side.jpg Not a new member, but another new Cobalt, still on beautiful Lake George in upstate NY. Enjoyed our CS22 for a year before we decided that a bigger boat would better meet our needs. So back to Dan at Boats by George to trade in for our second Cobalt, one of his last 2019 R5...

Re: New boat, loving Lake George

The quick launch program is great, and those special trailers make it possible. They have a couple of these trailers, one larger than the other, and they are pulled by a tractor across the street to the storage area. I did build a tool kit, with all the great input I got from you all... Attached is ...

Re: New boat, loving Lake George

Basically it's platform storage across the street from the water. Call ahead and they launch it and moor it at the dock. When you bring it in they help you tie up, they they put it away. The "valets" also fuel it on request... makes it super easy on a busy lake with limited dockage and lau...

New boat, loving Lake George

Had a great summer on Lake George, NY, with our new 2018 CS22, our first Cobalt! We got hooked on this boat at the local boat show in March, ordered our Pacific Blue bowrider, and took delivery in June from Boats by George. Great dealer and love their quick launch marina option! Boat has a good ride...

Re: Cobalt tool kit

Sounds like my tool kit will say Kobalt (Lowe's brand...) instead of Cobalt

Thanks for the replies, just didn't want to pass on the Cobalt tools if they were super-cool!

Cobalt tool kit

Just ordering a new CS22 and going through the options list. I see the official Cobalt tool kit... Is it worth the $80? For past boats, I always put together a soft-side bag with a selection of tools, but wondered if the Cobalt kit is either extremely cool (walnut box, stainless steel tools and a co...
