Re: 240 power trim circuit breaker location VP DP 5.7 GXi

Found it. Starboard top side of motor near the back. Had to take plastic cover off and feel around for it. Immediately to the right of the engine loom connector as you face the back of the boat. The breaker is horizontal so not readily evident. Pushed it and trim started working normally again. Wish...

240 power trim circuit breaker location VP DP 5.7 GXi

Hi folks, Hoping someone could direct me to where the circuit breaker or fuse location is for the power trim? Stuck in up position and no power to the switch. I checked the 10 amp fuse at the pump and it is good. I am told there is another fuse or circuit breaker, possibly 50 amp somewhere in or aro...

10 gal fresh water tank supplier?

Hi folks,
Wondering if anyone knows where I might purchase a 10 gal freshwater holding tank for my 2003 240. Am looking to add the transom shower as an afterthought.
Thanks,
Greg

Re: My 262 Build

Mine is not operational. Light comes on but no movement. Just took delivery of the boat over the weekend and the marine dealer didn't seem optimistic that he could do anything about it. 2004 cobalt 240. Assuming it is the same as yours. Am curious as to what steps you took to decide you couldn't fi...

Re: How do I fix photo clock position

Thx for the help. I guess I'll post pics from my PC from now on. Posting from my iPhone or Apple desktop gives poor results.

Re: New member

Thx. The 208 Islander was a super fun boat. very very fast. I think it would go about 73 mph or so. Shallow hull though and not well balanced. That motor with 40 gallons of fuel created some real issues in choppy water. IMHO My wife and I had it before we had kids and sold it 16 years ago. Picked up...

I don't think I understand. I went back to my post and I can no longer edit. The edit button disappeared.
The photos look fine on my IPhone. Not sure what screen shooting will do. You want me to screen shot the screen on my phone or screen shot the computer screen?

Hi folks, Just took delivery of a super clean 2003 240 blk/wht 5.7GXi. Only 180 hours. We are very happy with it thus far. This is our third bow rider and will clearly be our favorite. Prior boats: 1994 7.3 Baja 208 Islander and 1995 4.3LX Bayliner 2050 Capri. We are still figuring things out and di...

Re: Glove Box? That's not a glove box.

Thanks folks. Nice banter. I was thinking of picking up one of those waterproof Plano boxes and then throw it under one of the front seats as suggested, I guess that probably makes the most sense for now. I'm thinking that there needs to be something near the helm or opposite side to stow sunglasses...

Re: Glove Box? That's not a glove box.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought about that compartment but Am concerned that some of my guests will inadvertently toss their wallet in the trash instead of the rectangular white tray. It would be nice if there was something near the helm or passenger seat. The engineers at Cobalt have thought ...

Glove Box? That's not a glove box.

Hi folks, Just took delivery of a 2004 Cobalt 240. Very low hours and a really nice boat. Had it out on Muskegon lake and Lake Michigan over the weekend. Really nice weather finally. I am curious as to where you folks store things like your wallet, phones, car keys, boat papers, etc when you get on ...

Re: Cockpit heat surprise

Hi Gwest, I just added the taps on my 8.1 so that I could plumb in the new heater I picked up. There's a kit that comes with the parts for the 8.1 so you don't need to try to source any of the fittings on your own. Here's what they looked like connected to the engine. I haven't decided where to put...
