I like Sea Foam for use during the season but have decide at this point as long as I run Ethanol free gas do not add anything.
Lots of test that show it does need additives.

Re: anyone have spy shots of the new CS series?
Just picked up a 2023 CS 22, I really like the boat and hull design. Hopefully they dont put a large arch on it and make it more rounded such as the Regal, and other boats. The Cobalt is a classic looking boat.

Re: Torch Teaser
If you get to Torch Lake be sure and visit the Dockside at Clam River. Has great outdoor eating area right on the narrow river channel.
Always fun to see the rookie captains trying to dock or block the channel doing a U-turn.
We keep of new CS22 at Dewitt Marina.

Re: So, where was your 2024 Cobalt built?
Cobalt probably started planning the expansion after the covid spike in sales and it took a few years to get the plant ready.
I doubt today they would move forward with the current interest rates.
Next they will announce a battery boat that adds 50K to the gas version!

Re: Flip down swim step
Maybe you could use the broken swim step as a guide and make a replacement out of Mahogany wood?
Could look very cool if done well and last a long time in treated with oil or spar varnish.

Re: CS22 in Rough Water
I grew up on boats used mostly on Lake Erie off of Toledo, Oh. Dad had 16" Stury, 19' SeaRay and 20' Starcraft boat. We never felt as if we had to small of a boat but many would not go out in less than a 25 ft. I love the size of the CS22 and how fast it gets on plane and great handling at the ...

Re: CS22 in Rough Water
I normally trim up on rougher water, only time i keep the trim all the way down is pulling tubes.
Trimming up seems to help the boat ride better. In rough water trim up less than smooth for higher speed but some to get the nose up.
I never use my trim gauge just go by feel.

Re: CS22 in Rough Water
Just purchased a 2023 CS 22 for use on Torch Lake in Michigan. The lake is 2.5 x 19 miles and up to 300 ft deep. I have had 21 checkmate, 18 Zodiac RIB, and 20 ski boat.. The CS 22 is by far the best riding boat of all. Have been on the lake with 15-20 mph winds and had white caps and blowing spray ...

Glad the problem was resolved. Does any dealer offer parts diagrams to Volvo Penta engines?
Would like to see the twp TB position sensors.

Re: Trim Control
Normally I get on plane with the outboard trimmed all the way down. Once on plane you can slightly higher . The boat's hull is more out of the water that results in less drag to improve speed and reduce fuel consumption. if you trim up too high them the boat will be past the point the prop can hold ...
