Volvo says change every two years using their plugs, or every year if you use someone else's. But considering the Volvo comes with Champion plugs, it doesn't seem to make much difference in real life. I've read that people have had good luck with the AC 41-993 plugs too, and they're far cheaper than...

I think having an ACR that automatically switches between batteries so you're not fussing while using the boat is a lot more useful than an alternator field disconnect, unless the batter switch is unusually accessible. In my Cobalt, it's under a seat (that always has stuff in it and someone on it).

I think it looks fine from the side until you get down to the pontoons, where it sort of looks like a paddleboat shell dropped over a regular pontoon. I'm sure they will fine-tune it as they get customer feedback, but I agree it looks a lot better on the inside than the outside.

Boat insurance
Does anybody reading this forum know where to get the best deal on boat insurance? I'm getting a new Cobalt boat and it seems like prices are all over the map.
