Re: Problems Loading on Trailer
Just purchased my 2015 R5 VP 430. The previous owner had a 242 trailer that he used for the R5 because it was always kept on a lift. The dealer I spoke with says the R5 fits perfectly on the 242 trailer. However, the last 3 times I have loaded it, the bow just doesn’t like to stay up on the roller....

Re: Transom Tilt Switch R7
My Volvo oem transom switch looks just like that. It has a round hole behind it. The switch as gone south and need a new one. No luck with the internet. Will probably have to go to the dealer for a replacement. Here is the front and side of that switch. Call them on the phone and see if they will s...

Re: Transom Tilt Switch R7
How much was the VP switch? My dealer quoted @ $250, so thinking the Mercury switch would work (plug and play) I bought that one for @$65. Looks like the VP switch will plug right into the harness (see second picture in my post above) and the 3 wire connector type plugs must goto back of the switch...

Re: Transom Tilt Switch R7
I bought the kit from cobalt when I purchased the new to me r7. A little confused as I thought it was just going to be the part with the three wires with tiny black ends. So I gotta find where they connect. My current thinking is that maybe these larger black connectors go in the middle of a section...

PXL_20210207_221754435.jpg I just looked at mine. It's a 3 pin and it's labeled Merc trim. Hey Bruce, I am looking for these connections in my engine bay. Any chance you could help point me in the right direction? I would have guessed (if facing the stern, I would need to look to the left of the re...

Re: R3, 242, or Regal 2300 XR
I just picked up a loadmaster trailer Friday. It is a thing of beauty. I don’t know how it toes bc I pick up my ‘16 R7 this weekend That trailer is a thing of beauty! Did you get torsion axles on it? Did you get the boat, too? Would love to see pics of them mated up! I ordered the trailer and final...

Neither boat will have it.kwsbrother wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:26 pm The 242 is a 2012 and the R3 is a 2016. I'll need to go back and look at the engine pictures for the insta drain feature. I'm all about doing as much wrenching as I can. I enjoy it and allows for my squeaky wallet to remain much more silent!
