That's the real advantage IMO, being able to mount and balance your own instead of paying $15-20 each. Really opens up opportunity for online purchase too.

If you seat the beads with ether take video :geek:

It's funny you just throw the bag in the tire and it opens up around 30mph. Nut sure I like the bag in there so I'll prob pour them in. They don't want any beads on the bead.

I've always balanced tires for my car and boat trailers..

A featherlite rep told me years ago it keeps the screws and rivets tight and improves hub bearing life.. and of course the cargo that rides aswell.

He had a snazzy uniform on so I believed him..

Interesting on the balancing technique BB.. like to hear how it holds up and what the readings stay at..

They will last as long as the tire last. The bonus is you can take them out and put them in the next set of tires. They won't start to balance until about 30mph. You prob wouldn't feel a out of balance tire till after that anyways. It's centrifugal force. There's some good vids of it.

That was interesting!!
As you know BB a square tire can still balance out to zero on a 2 plane balance..

The beads in theory take the void of a " excessive Road Force" but on true balanced tire.

I would still balance your tires and if you have a road force balancer at work you could get them below 15lbs of road force.

I would like to try them on a road force balancer to see the difference.

It does make sense though

We tried to balance a tire with the beads in them. We couldn't. It messes up the readings. I think that is why they say to remove all the weights.

MHO.
I don't know much about them, but I'm not a fan.
Loose beads rolling around in the interior portion of a moving tire mean they move against one another, as well as the tire and wheel...which means wear friction. Friction creates heat. Public enemy number 1 of a trailer tire is heat, and trailer tires due to their specific construction will get hot and retain heat. Just doesn't seem like a necessary risk, given interior bead mounted or stick on wheel weights do the job perfectly.
We all know the damage a blown trailer tire can cause.

Easy solution there... Don't use trailer tires :)

Actually the beads are not moving once they get in the spot that is out of balance. The new endurance tire is good to 85mph. Nothing like having a out of balance tire at those speeds. Just think what your car feels like at 70. I know going down the mountains your moving.

I would have thought you would be able to balance with beads in.

Ok I'm buying new winter tire and rim package for my car and I thought of this for my boat seeing that I am replacing my tires and New rims I think this would be a great option to add.

I don't know. I just found them. In one of the descriptions it sets off a alarm for temperature and one for pressure loss in a certain about of time.
I think this is a great idea. If you don't want it on your phone they got one that plugs in to your accessory plug. And has the read out showing the pressures. All good stuff.
