Eagle, loadmaster, there's so many. Aluminum had its advantages but also disadvantages. Depends on budget. Galvanized.
Well I'm more about looks so I'm a painted trailer guy. The alum trailer I owned towed very nice though but they are very long. I don't think they support as well though.
Are you buying new or used? That one in Texas it's not bad. Tuscany can tell you closer how much a trailer custom built for a boat your size can cost.

It will be for storage over the winter in NH, until I can build a garage. The boat will be on my dock during the boating season.

If your just using it to put the boat in the spring and pulling it out in the fall and its sitting outside till you get your garage. I would go with a used aluminum trailer.

Venture is another trailer option that snuggles up to the 262 nicely.

This may be an option for you in New Hampshire. They may have some leads on their used trailers as well.

Thanks! I just checked my Pathfinder towing capacity. I'm going to need a bigger truck.

The previous owner of ours had it boat house to rack storage. No trailer???

He ordered a brand new 2017 from Cobalt. EZ Loader... very nice and good for me.. well now I'm stuck with a trailer that I almost want to store inside.. haha..

So I cover the trailer now for 8 months... geeeze right??

It is common in a lot of mid lakes and communities if the service is available... why deal with a trailer that just eats tires and bunks..

Used is looking good.. that one in tx if he has vin proof to call the builder and maybe proof of boat on trailer may be the ticket.. fresh rubber.. fresh wood plus never.. ever rust

Yes; Nissan Pathfinder is outmatched by a 262.
Now the Nissan Armada will do the job!

Dry weight of a 262 is 4,700 pounds. Add engine; fuels, trailer and gear and you’re closer to 7,000 pounds.

That’s a nice part of Austin so I would think the ad is creditable. Especially if it is parked at his house which it appears to be. The trailer is about 30 minutes from my home.

If you need help, or want me to look at it, pm me. I can’t get to it before the weekend, but then I’m available.

McClains are considered a top of the line trailer in Texas. My buddy has one which he pulls his 262 with and thinks it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I just don’t know about the surge brakes.

If buying a used Armada, when set up with the 5.6 liter V8, all 320 horses and 385 ft-pounds of torque will pull 9,000 pounds with the tow package. My brother owns two. They are a beast of an SUV for towing.

Here are the 7 best towing SUV’s for under $20,000 according to AT:

https://www.autotrader.com/car-deals/7- ... 000-191978

The 2017/18 tow rating drops to 8,500 pounds but power goes to 390 horses/394 ft lbs of torque. Still a beast. Not many 8 passenger SUV’s with fold flat third row seats out there. Armada is one of them. She will pull a 262 with ease with that tow package.

Many times the 2x2 is lower AJC. Here is the 4x4 2015/Armada tow ratings: Do you own any of these? My brother has the platinum model. Maybe you have different model. SV?

Cobalts are just big heavy boats.... I have a 2017 Chevy Colorado for a work vehicle that sorta towed the 222...on level ground... I never had the guts to try it up our pretty steep hills this summer... Even with 7000lb towing capacity, we were right at the limit when all was accounted for and i didn't think it had what it takes. I also didn't want to call up my boss and say I killed the nice truck you have given me to do my job!! Thanks for my husband for sacrificing his new BMW for the new truck to pull the boat!
