My wife's rule and that's the only one that counts in our family. When they can hold there head up on there own then they can go on the boat. We have a nice fabric life vest for a little one. It's much cooler than a nylon or neoprene one.

Congrats John! One thing you can be sure of, is that all of the advice you've been given is worth what you paid for it. Mine included :lol: Every kid is different, and you will figure it out as you go.

I echo this sentiment :lol: Having a baby was definitely not very enjoyable for me. There were moments, but overall not a pleasant experience. The older my daughter gets, the better everything gets. Fingers crossed that this bodes well for the future :)

I think that's the trick mother nature plays (perhaps to ensure the kid's survival) - every month is easier than the month before...
