Now that the major maintenance is behind us on our 2005 263, I have a question regarding the smaller items.
One of those items is the helm compass which seems to be acting like it's in the Bermuda Triangle.
When the key is turned on, the compass powers up. Seems to be off on heading so something is interfering with it. Does anyone know where the magnetic sensor is located? In the compass? Remotely? I'll have to trace the wires.
Noticed one of the wires (brown one) was disconnected. Not sure if this is intentional or needs to be reconnected. When I touched it to the side bolt which has the yellow wire fastened to it, the compass spins to North when I'm facing south. Weird.
Not an electrical guru so any thoughts would be appreciated.
