Yep, next few weeks now, and this is #1 (a boy). I'm sure we're overprepared for many things, and underprepared for others.
Man that was fast. Seems
like it was just about 9 months ago
Congrats!!!

Absolutely awesome John! Kids give you a whole new reason for getting up every day! Greatest thing that ever happened to me without a doubt was having my son and daughter.

Exactly after the second year I could skip the first two years.

Yep, it’s seeming a bit more real now that we’re close. We’ve got plenty of gear (including a cool hat with sharks) and lots of advice. I think we’re as prepared as we’re going to get anyway.

My wife's rule and that's the only one that counts in our family. When they can hold there head up on there own then they can go on the boat. We have a nice fabric life vest for a little one. It's much cooler than a nylon or neoprene one.

Congrats again. Nothing like having your first child. Enjoy it.

Congrats John! One thing you can be sure of, is that all of the advice you've been given is worth what you paid for it. Mine included Every kid is different, and you will figure it out as you go.

I echo this sentiment Having a baby was definitely not very enjoyable for me. There were moments, but overall not a pleasant experience. The older my daughter gets, the better everything gets. Fingers crossed that this bodes well for the future

Just wait for grandkids......that's when the fun starts.
