Cleanway fuel fill

Anyone used one of these before? I ordered one, will try it out Saturday. I've had problems with fuel spitting out the filler neck on my boat while gassing up. Does it mid-fill when I have the nozzle running fast. Lately I have run the fuel nozzle on the slowest setting, works fine unless I fill the tank all theway...it will still spit back at me a few seconds after the nozzle clicks off. The tank vent seems ok, I don't think there's any restriction there. Hoping that this will solve the problem, I'm tired of cleaning gas off the side of the boat, and I'm worried it will eat the SeaDek pads on the swim step.

Interesting, not sure how well it would work with the fill being on the side of the boat, but it might be ok.

Our 190 would do that too... I always said I had to burp her.... I would stop the pump for a few seconds trying to avoid the blow back of gas as it was filling up... Seemed to help...

Supposedly it will work on any filler up to 45 degrees. I think mine is around there, might be a bit steeper but not by much. I'll give it a shot Saturday and see what happens.

I filled up 2 weeks ago completely full, on the slowest setting. Tank was fine while filling, nozzle clicked off when full. I waited 2 or 3 seconds and nothing happened, was just about to pull the nozzle out of the filler when it spit up everywhere. No idea what causes that but hopefully this will catch it.

Slick idea... now if we can find a gizmo that prevents the hull vent from sprinkling as she's getting full..

Mine never burps. Then a few weeks ago I'm standing there next to the boat at a gas station filling it up. BAM. A golden shower. (Get your mind out of the gutter Thunder. It was gasoline you nimcompoop)

It's the only time it's ever done it. My BC (before Cobalt) boat puked all the time so I expected this one to do the same. But it fooled me. Twice

This reminds me...we lived near Denver, CO when my daughter was born. My stepmom helped plan a baby shower for my wife in the town of Golden. Sent emails to everyone with the subject "Golden Shower". Wifey had to explain that one to her.

Never had a boat that burped gas. While filling I listen to the vent and when I hear a gurgling sound I stop filling.

B you hear that gurgling sound all the time when you're around BB but that doesn't ever stopped you from filling him full of it!
