Nah, you don't need that. Just hook onto that old black R7 with your snow plow and come pick up up. We'll ride in it while eating Cheezit crackers and drinkin beer!

And here all this time I thought it was black. No wonder I like it so much!

An 8.6 beam is tight in our slips. Great for boarding, loading ect, but really bad for docking. You almost have to walk it in every time.
Twins would be awesome..
350/380/430.. ho hum. Not really an earth shattering difference.
Give me a set of 380 hp engines, and now we're talking...

Your luck you would have got one 430 and the other a 380.lol

Now that's a set of twins.lol someone got that as they were short one 430.lol

Haha.
There was this go-fast boat on the river yesterday. It was idling through the Erie Canal. I didn't get the make, maybe a Formula Fastech because it was first class.. I don't know what set of twins were in it, but dear God, it sounded freaking nasty as all hell just idling along. Major compression happening...

And when we get there, we're all going to line up and do the Conner McGregor strut around the inside, just like you do everytime you fill that bad boy boat up at the local gas station.

:D

I'm not a strutter either, although Connor does add some real spice, and I like watching him do his thing.

Truth be told, I still go out of my town to fill it up. Just not comfortable in a small town.
In Buffalo? Like your lakes, there is always a million people with a bigger boat, and in my case, this is still a cheap, small boat compared to what I see on our lake, but very few, almost zero late model Cobalts. Cobalt seems to be the exotic brand around here and it does get it's looks.
My lake Cobalt is definitely the prevalent boat. They're everywhere.

Cobalt's are a rarity in Erie. Certainly not the biggest fish on the bay or lake --but she always turns heads wherever she goes.

We have a lot of Colbalts on Tenkiller Lake. I always see several every time I go out.

There are at least 6/7 just at the marina that we go to on Dale Hollow Lake and I always see others out on the water (we have 2 dealers in the state so it's a popular boat around here). Funny the others that are at our marina live on the lifts... Maybe see them out once or twice a summer if that! A lot of money just to sit there covered up!

There is good reason for Cobalt's to be scarce in my area.

My dealer (Lake Chautauqua) is relatively new to Cobalt. They are not a big dealership and do not carry more than two or three Cobalt's at a time. They have been a Chaparral/Mastercraft/Bennington dealer for years, and just took on Cobalt three years ago.
I'm the first R7 they have ever sold. They typically stock the Gateway stuff, and maybe an R3. They had a 5 last year, but it usually takes a year+ to sell an R series. Short season here folks.
There is no Cobalt dealer in the Buffalo area, so no representation on eastern Lake Erie. The next closest dealer is on the Finger Lakes which is about a 2-3 hour drive from Buffalo.
