What was your last boat and why did you sell her?

Post by Whippled263 »

2005 Powerquest 260. 496 mag 375 horsepower bravo one. 63 mph top speed. Great rough water boat and built like a brick shit house. Very one dimensional tho. Useless cabin and seating for only 5 people hence why I don't own it anymore. Great boat tho!

My last boat that I actually kept more than a year was Clifford. 1999 Crownline 202 350 mag and captains call. I started my addiction with it. I sold it because someone offered me a I don't want to sell it price.

Ahhh the original NautiGirl a 1997 190... The best first boat ever! I had her for 10 years and she looked just as good as the day I got her, even at 20 years old! I cried the day she left us. We sold her to a good friend that was starting his family out in boating and they love her. I check on her frequently and make sure he is taking proper care of her!

It was time for something bigger and better! It's nice having more space for more family and friends to come enjoy the lake life with us. As my nephew quickly learned this year... Lake Life is the best life!

I traded in "The Codfather" after my dealer forced me aboard a new R5 he had in stock.
That was almost it. When I forced my wife to see it, it was over.

Nice boats gents & lady. Cool Powerquest Whippled!

We sold our bow-riding 262 to get the 263 cuddy with a larger C.C. engine; extended swim platform; wake-board arch & cockpit heat.

My nephews & nieces now have jobs and school commitments so no need for a big Cuban refugee boat bow rider. We are also now tax deductible. :D

Nice boats all! Aslan, do you ever miss the open bow? My wife had mentioned a couple times that she really likes the cuddy cabins, thinking down the road a few years to when my daughter is a few years older and I think it might be easier to get them both to camp if we had a cabin to sleep in. I love the open bow but I'd trade in a heartbeat if it would make my two favorite ladies happier. Might be a good excuse to trade up to something newer in a few years too :)

Not sure yet, T550. Have not had a chance to use her enough this year. Next summer will be telling though since our 10-12 person outings will now be down to 4-8 persons. Of course most of those folks are outside the boat on tubes, wake boards, knee boards, and skis.

I couldn't think of having a boat without a open bow. I keep thinking of a cuddly but you lose so much room. The cockpit in the 263 looks very roomy. But if go cuddly Ill go to a gofast boat. Or find a blue engine in a Cobalt.lol there out there but not to many of them.

2007 Sunsation 32 mid cabin..open now
Twin 496HO. Bravo XR spinning 30 pitch 4 blade bravos.. 83 mph

Even with the size and room it was useless at anchor.. Geeze if they could invent a flip reverse bolster to chat and rest your legs..

I love fast offshore boats and always will.. but our boating style is more daily use as we live on the water.. so I'm in love with my 282 now..(doesn't hurt she has twins)😎

The Mercury racing engine series such as the 525 EFI's / 575's etc. It's my favorite color. :D
