New R7 Surf

Post by Soonerfan »

Fresh off the truck! I know the pics aren't great as it is overcast here today but it's the first ones of my new baby! I'm not actually picking her up until Monday but I had to go by and snap a few obligatory pictures!

Thanks to all and more pics are sure to follow. I had a brain fart for about 5 minutes yesterday thinking maybe I should leave the shrink wrap up and just put her in storage for the winter. Then I was like what the heck? I began to think about all the driveway boating I was going to miss out on if I did that so off it comes.

I will go by around noon today and check on it but I really don't think anything will be done. They said they are waiting on the bow ladder which is to be here Monday to get her ready. We are heading to big D for the weekend for my daughters soccer and I will be taking a lot of pictures on Monday and will post them up when I do.

To Ytsmn, let me know if you end up having time and want to stop by. It will be at the dealership which you know where that is and my office is 2 miles from them and it would be a pleasure to meet you.

Haha, yes better Sooner than later in terms of the boat but also in the terms of a loss for my Sooners! BBP, you are where we were last week all you need is for 1,2, or 3 to lose! :D

This process and this forum has really made me realize how special Cobalt Boats and their owners are. Every time I see a boat I am looking it over a lot different than I did 6 months ago. We all like finer things and take pride and a real interest in the things we like and learn as much about them as we can. To me family is first but as I get older and my kids move into the next chapters of their lives I find myself constantly enjoying many of the "finer" things in life that early one may not have interested me as much. Probably because I wasn't in a place to afford many of them!!

Also, note to the 2nd pic. I liked that one as it was a little added feature on the trailer that I wasn't expecting and it looks like it will light up the Cobalt when the lights are on!

Sooner, I couldn't agree more.
Like you, we were no position to afford any of the nice things in life a few years back.🙈
It makes it so much more special now, and as we get to this point in life, it is ALL about spending as much time together as possible with family and enjoying our friends.

BTW, the first set of pics left us hoping for more.
I think I speak for everyone here....we expect a LOT more my friend!
