Thanks John

Post by Ytmsn »

😁 Here is my metaphor for the day. Y'all stick with me here...

It occurred to me that John is like... Grandpa Chat. And we're his churin.

Just think, only a few short years ago when he birthed this site he was on here all by himself. And talking only to himself. Sometimes with no response for weeks, months, or years to come. That had to be discouraging at times. And now here we all are, one big happy (dysfunctional, thinking of BB here) family!

Thanks Grampa John.
Seriously, thank you for everything you do here. We all owe you a debt of gratitude, because there's no place else that like minded folks like us can come together to talk and learn about our boats.

Heh, you give me too much credit. I just wanted to build a place where nuts like us could talk on and on about our boats without having people get bored of us :)

I had helped moderate forums before, and had seen what even a new forum could do for a hobbyist community when I bought a Lotus Elise over a decade ago. I wanted there to be something like that for Cobalt boat people, and once I placed my order over the holidays in 2014 started tinkering. If you look back, we've been here since January 2015, although it didn't really take off until this summer.

Thanks again to everybody who contributes to Cobaltchat for making it what it has become!

Really Ty? I meant YT :-)
I have my dysfunctional phone keyboard. Ok maybe me.lol
I thought it took off when I joined :-) I talked to myself and John and Liquid for about a 1000 posts. I was never bored.lol yes this summer was great. Tuscany new boat order helped us a bunch. Gave us something to talk about. Why the 380 over the 430 and then he gets the 430 in the end. That's the best story ever. Again I agree thanks to all members.
