Nauti, where did you stay on rough? We are in the big cove at Big Island. Start at LAurel Branch and draw a line through the island, that cove.

My Grandma had a house in Cannon's point neighborhood...but on the water we were right around the corner from Panther Creek. I have lots of memories hanging out at the island ski course and back in Walter creek as a kid...we didn't have much and my parents never had their own boat but I had several aunts and uncles that did and they were the best. I'm trying to carry on the 'Fun Aunt with a Boat" thing for my nieces and nephews.

Are you in Cave Creek or the other cove I marked in the pic?

The other cove. We are in the lower left corner. We have always ridden up South Fork and usually didn't throw out a rope until near Cannon's Point. We typically didn't go much past the ski course either. I always thought it was cool that those people had their own boat ramp. That lake has changed tremendously over the last 20 years. Developments everywhere.

Yes I would imagine the lake is pretty busy every weekend, forget holiday weeks. It was busy when I was a kid...

This crap is probably getting old by now, but I did another track day today. Got in-car footage this time too, although the audio and video sync is off... Audio leads video by a couple seconds. Was rocking some new tires this time, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Night and day difference over the Potenza S001 run flats I had last time, these new ones were awesome!

Best lap of the day

Very cool t5000 :-) It looks like your car doesn't like that one current it pushes every time your in it. It's amazing the difference tires can make. Next your going to have to play with the alignment. Let's get this Beemer to handle like it's on rails.lol
So is it hard to follow the track when you have the other parts of the track crossing your line? Looks like your having a blast.

Pretty cool Thunder! It looks like that one big left-hander is misleading. You were swinging way out right then the track would turn on you. I think I heard you chirp it once?

I have a couple of buddies that own those little Mazda Miata race cars with souped up race engines and full roll cages inside, but they're both tagged and street legal. They are always trying to get me I to it but I have enough hobbies already.

That's looks like a lot of fun!

I watched the video about 15 times before I finally realized that 2 turns before the big sweeping left corner near the end I was apexing early and messing up my setup, which left me further inside than I should been and also pointed more to the right, so more steering needed. Next time! The track setup is pretty good, I didn't even notice some of the other lines crossing until watching the video later.

Squealed into that corner several times yeah. Couldn't get the entrance quite right.

It's tons of fun, I love the corners or little dog legs that make the car feel like it's floating or right on the threshold of drifting a bit, what a rush. You should get into it! :D

Here's an updated version of the "best lap" video with the audio synced up correctly.
