Winnipesaukee Meetup in August

Post by thunder550 »

Saw this post on the Cobalt Owner's Facebook page, figured I'd share here since we have a few non-facebookers on the site who may be interested.

I saw this and wondered if it was someone here since it was posted close to the same time.

There was a guy on the fb page awhile back trying to start his own cobalt forum... Sorry sir, we are already here... In the Cool Cobalt Chat Club!

I'm on that one too, the guy messaged me when I first joined the FB group, so I joined up over there. Then a month or so later found this place. It's pretty dead over there. There's like 4 active members (counting myself, I check in every couple of days). Sometimes 2-3 weeks between posts. Glad I found you guys instead :)

I sent the groups admin a message to see if that's cool first, FB groups are kinda like forums, and I don't want to be seen as poaching members.

They have some great pics there though.
I spent about 45 minutes Thursday going thru a few years of their picture posts ( I have a bad case of Cobaltitis due to the winter weather.) The last year or two really showcased some great FB member photo uploads.(vs just Cobalt promos)

A7, were you on the official Cobalt Boats manufacturer page, or the community fan page? I'm talking about the community fan page, there's almost 3000 members.

I believe it was the manufacturer page.

Went to the cobalt owner’s Facebook page to peruse their photos.
I. Like this one. :D ...

We offered to buy it in 2015 and ship it to Erie, but it had already sold.

Red, white & dark navy blue baby! Our favorite color combo.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary at the time. Stayed a week at the Hotel Del on Coronado island. Saw the Cobalt ad pop up and called seller immediately. They said it sold fast. I offered $5000 over what their buyer offered but he didn’t feel right about backing out of the sale. Personally I don’t blame him but I had to try. She’s a beauty.

Hotel del is too....(& there were a few larger Cobalts in that marina in the background)

Wow, that's impressive (the hotel and the sale). When we are in SD over July 4, If the weather is nice we will have to take a trip from Mission Bay out and around Point Loma and down to Coronado island to check that out! Are there any restaurant or other points of interest worth checking out soon there?

Oh yes. Plenty. You have the weather and incredible food choices of San Diego right across that bridge in the background, yet the small town feel as well as the mom and pop businesses/restaurants on the island. Military friendly with the Navy base and great boating. If we could afford it, we would live on that island.

For now though, I’ll get back to reality and shovel more snow.
....and dream about get togethers like Chautauqua and Winnipesaukee in the summer. (in a feeble attempt to get this thread back on track).
