A recent example, of many, of the "turf war" between fishermen and boaters:
A small fishing boat was right in the middle of a very narrow entrance to a bay. I slowed way down, and went around him as wide as I could, without risking grounding.
Then he gave me the dagger look (which in other cases is far worse), as if to say: Can't you see I'm here?
Does he not know where he is? And what does he expect boaters to do? Conclude that the large, cove-filled bay is off limits -- until he chooses to move?
I know the rules-of-the-road for boaters and fishermen. But what I object to is the attitude (some have) that they have a "divine right" to be wherever. And boaters be damned.

More likely, he had that look on his face because he hadn't caught a fish and knew he was going to have to lie about how good of a fisherman he was.
