Side Panels on Cover

Post by terp77 »

Has anyone had side panels made to attach to your cover to protect the sides from the sun?

Yes, previous owner of my boat had this full cover made - the side panels attach with velcro.

Just seeing this thread about the side skirts. Do you have any closer pictures of how these are attached with the velcro? I have the Westland cover but want to add side skirts for improved protection. Too much time and effort to shine the gelcoat just to see the sun fade it by mid summer. My boat is in direct sun on the port side and a big difference between that side and the starboard. Purchased the fabric to make this but still fighting with how to attach.

Thanks

Happy to, but not likely to be back up to the lake for another month or so -- I was just there last Monday.

I made a couple covers with side skirts. I attached them with snaps.

Thank you. Yes, Ilove it. My boat lives outside all year so this helps keep weather off it
