Hello!

Happy to be here , my wife and I just bought our first boat last year . 2007 240 with 280 hours. Had a great summer , boat drive great and we will do our very best to keep her in the best shape . After having a dock slip we really want to get a lift for it this year - our first lesson learned is how much it sucks to have the boat sit in the water when not being used 😂

So glad you found us Z...and looking sharp!

Yes, leaving her in the water can be painful after you look at the growth that begins to form below the waterline. We always finished up our day by spraying some Boat bling Hot Sauce on the hull and wiping it off with a microfiber. Smells like vinegar but she works like a charm.

And welcome aboard mate!

Beautiful boat! You have her looking absolutely mint. What engine does she have?

I’m kinda partial to this model and year as you might imagine.

Looks like you’ve done some upholstery work in picture 3 as compared to picture 4?

@titaniumboy
Thanks !Yes! I went ahead and just put new upholstery in as that back set had some cracks. It has MerCruiser 350 Mag MPI engine with a twin-propeller Bravo Three drive. Most articles i have read bashed this setup and said it was to tame. Being this is my first boat i could not say one way or the other but i dont mind this setup at all and it does plenty fine -gas mileage is pretty decent too.

Did you do all of the upholstery or just that back seat? Was the carpet already replaced when you bought her?

I’ve never been in another 240, but it would be fun to see how the 350 Mag MPI and Bravo 3 combo performed. I have the 496 Mag MPI and Bravo 3 and it puts a smile on my face every time I hit the throttle.

Replaced all the with the exception of that left stern back cushion- super small crack I could not justify spending the money on just yet . The snap in flooring was already in and I can tell you it is so awesome , drys super super fast and cleans up very easily. The bulbinga is also holding up quite well too so as of now we really don’t need to do anything but enjoy the boat. I would like to replace the Bimni boot as that is the only thing that is showing wear - can’t even read the cobalt logo on it anymore
