Docking lights on 250

Post by klennop »

Hey guys,

One of my docking lights is out and I am a little confused on how to change out the bulb. I took the screws out on the outside of the boat thinking the whole assembly would come out but it is not budging. Then I tried going through the anchor locker. There are 2 screws on the back of the light pod but when I take those out it seems like there are a couple springs holding that back plate to something. I didn't want to force anything so I thought I would shoot a message on here to ask for advice before I freak something. I also didn't see anything in the manual on how to replace them.

I will probably swap with LEDs once I figure out what I am doing.

Thanks!

They are the small docking lights. You can remove the bulb from the outside. Just remove the stainless cover. Then remove a spring watch them they fly then the bulb pulls straight out. Get the bulbs bfun has. They fit better than mine did.

OK I had all the screws out around the bezel and i was tapping it will a rubber mallet but they did not want to budge. I will give it a try with the wife's help...she knows everything already, LOL!

BFUN, if you see this and know what bulbs you used, let me know!

Thanks!

That stainless bezel is just sticking to the thick rubber gasket. It will pop off.

Why is it when I click on the arrow on bfuns picture In the post it won't change pictures?

The arrow is in the picture.

Bfun, do you find these to be brighter than the item lights?

As BB's picture says. And I believe there are brighter bulbs now.
