We need pictures Dale. Can't wait to see them. We're going to be jealous I'm sure. Can't imagine the sites there.

Boat is wet slipped on Lake Travis. I don't own a trailer, so that's my lake. It's ok because I also live there, 5 min to the HOA marina.

Travis is long and narrow, but has a number of places to eat. Water is very clear year round, and the steep sides always provide some sheltered water away from the wind.

My wife has the second Captain's chair, but doesn't like to set there in the summer, claims it is the hottest spot on the boat. Usually sets in the rear facing forward and talks to me. Since I have extreme hearing loss from guitars, machinery, and shotguns there is a lot of "huh, what, and shaking of the head at cruising speed.

Rough River in SW Kentucky is where we call home. Our intentions are to hit the other lakes in Ky as well as Monroe, Patoka, and Brookville in Indiana. We also have about 100 miles if the Ohio River we want to see in the fall.

That's a nice sunset shot Driller! And I relate with the ears. I have a high-frequency hearing loss and can't hear squeals, squeaks, bells, or any kind of high tone.
I watched a video of Devil's Cove on Travis last night. Looks like a crazy place!

Kids toward the rear partying, but there still some spots for us older geezers to anchor by ourselves up front.

The cove is about a mile long and is a no wake zone.

They had to put a limit on how many boats could tied up together. I think it is 10 or 12.

Lake patrol and police are always there on the weekend so they keep a lid on it.

The picture I posted earlier of me in the water was taken at Devil's Cove.

There are a number of dams and resultant lakes here in the east valley near Phoenix. All built before Hoover dam. Great vistas, fishing and water sports. The three we visit are Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake and Roosevelt Lake (named after Teddy).
