I've got a few, I only need to find one. The cord I am find. I know I had one literally loaded with a the music I liked. That's the one I am after. It has to take the old 1" wide flat plug.
I still don't see how she's going to "plug" into that opening. It almost seems like there needs to be a special adapter to plug into it first for the Ipod cord to attach.
Send us a pic driller with it "plugged" in.

Seriously, my daughter tried to plug hers into a cassette deck I had in an old car one time. When I told her it was for tapes she said "what are tapes?"

LOL
I was borrowing my father-in-laws old F-150 with my Niece beside me in the front seat. Our conversation went something like this:
I said "put the window down".
She said "where's the switch?"
I said "just use the window crank."
She said "what's that"
I pointed to it.
She said "how do I use it?"
I thought to myself...Man am I getting old!

Ha! Down here we say crack the window. In your country I've gotten some odd looks when I say something like that. But it doesn't bother me much! I get odd looks from stupid crap I say all the time

No, I only need the cord to charge and upload new music to the iPOD.
The doohickey has the indentical iPOD plug built into the bottom of it. I think it will allow the head unit to play the iPOD music and supply power to keep it charged while using.
Looks like it is designed to slide the iPOD into and it makes all the connections needed.

So is it for one of those older slimmer & smaller Ipods that will slide right into that slot, Driller?

I was thinking the one like this. Prior to the iPhone, it was much smaller, but overall looked like it.
We owned one of those bigger original one's, Driller. There is no way that thing would have fit in your glove box slot. The silver one in my previous pic maybe?

Maybe you're right. I may have to buy one of the later models. Let me find my old one and I will see. Won't get to launch a full blown search until next weekend.
My recent Ragal had a Fusion stereo that included an iPod dock within it and it came with a bunch of different plastic sleeve like things that changed size wise to make your specific model fit into the cavity. I'm wondering if that whole middle piece doesn't slide out and it could be replaced by others depending on your iPod.
If it were I with that opening in my glove box, a quick purchase of an apple adapter cord would be in order. I would connect the older/larger end to the opening and just let the lighting end hang out so I have instant access for my iPhone to charge or play.
Here's a pic of a shorter corded one. I think I would get a little longer cord for kid friendly accessibility
