LP Greenhouse heater

Post by Driller »

Installing a greenhouse and won't have electricity run until some time next spring. I want to use a liquid propane heater during the winter. Need one with a thermostatic control so the main burner turns on and off. Even in winter, the glass greenhouse will heat up during the day. I want to run it off of a 100 # bottle and the greenhouse is only 10 X 15', so I should get a reasonable amount of time on a 10,000 BTU heater.

Anyone using a model they can recommend?

Here's the one I just bought for a similar application:

You might be able to use the 10K BTU version, but you can't add a blower, and I don't know if it has a thermostat.

How big is the green house? My Dad has one and he put a small wall mount garage heater in there on a thermostat, works great.
