Re: How do you board?
I use the swim platform and the walk through to board. I prefer bare feet and lead by example. I keep my boat very clean, so an expectation is set for those that join me on the lake. I keep a towel at the walk through for everyone to wipe their feet on. Once we are all playing n the water, dirty feet is no longer an issue.

Re: How do you board?
When my son as here on the 4th with his 8 or 9 unless I told them to remove their shoes before boarding. After the third time they ignored me and I stepped on a rock (and cut my foot, the stones here are flinty) i only mildly regret the adjectives i used when I told them (his mother inlaw) there would be NO more shoes in the boat.

So the moral of the story there is to make sure you have enough towels on the boat floor so as not to get any blood on the fiberglass or carpets.
