Power Steering Fluid - need to use Volvo, or alternates?

Post by JTinMO »

Quick check last night, my power steering fluid is at the MIN mark. I need to add some fluid but don't have the Volvo power steering fluid on hand. I do have a bottle of "Lucas Oil Power Steering Fluid with conditioners" on hand. Would that be ok to top off the reservoir, or is there something special about the Volvo fluid?

Pic is what I have on hand in the garage.
