So list it now. The bank has plenty of money on hand :-) just ask mine! What's wrong with two boats?
We owned two boats for about a week. One week too many. One boat and payment is just fine.

That looks like a nice one. I am trying to stay out of a boat payment that's kinda why I have set myself a budget. I would like to have a 262 but I don't think it would fit in my lift. My parents live on the lake here and that's where I keep my boat stored most of the time.

If I find a 262 I'll sell you my 240! It's basically a new boat with a lot of extras. There's a build thread on it and I have everything documented. I'm the second owner

Nealcj8 wrote: Tue Aug 08, 2017 3:16 pm Hey guys I'm new to the forum but not new to boating. I've had several boats over the years, mostly inboards and a couple of ib/obs. My current boat is a 2006 Supra 21v and my wife and I are thinking about swapping to a Cobalt. We no longer do that much skiing or wake boarding we mostly just cruise around the lake so I want something that rides good and takes rough water good. So my question is what boat would y'all recommend? I am wanting something in the 24 foot range and something in the $30,000 range. I have kinda been seeing a few 240's and 246's close to my price range and I really want a big block!!

So Neal did you ever drive any Cobalts?
Are you making a change?

Let's being this back around for you.
Sorry I hyjacked it.

We looked at a 222 and it was nice but they wanted 40g for it, the wife liked it so we will be making the change. I have my boat on Craigslist for sale so we will see if I can move it, so far I have had 3 scammers and another place wanting to help me sell it.

Well I have the boat for you then. Either one. A 220 with a bb for $40 or a 222 for much less. Let's see pictures of your boat.

Nice looking boat. Just not my market. Wish I knew more about them. At that price you can jump right into a 222.

You are absolutely right Neal. You just cannot beat skiing off those inboard flat bottom ski boats. I love em'!
As long as folks realize the incredibly low freeboard coupled with an open bow and flat bottom has it's place on smaller and smoother bodies of water, they are fantastic.

.
Unfortunately, I see kids (& adults) try to motor these ski boats out of the bay and into the larger bodies of water such as Lake Erie --in marginal conditions no less! They are a disaster waiting to happen.

Check out the 6 minute mark on the below youtube video shot in June. The guy does a fairly nice job getting his ski boat on the trailer under very challenging conditions. I give credit to his wife as well for getting the debris out of the way.

The folks in the ski boat at the 7 minute mark are not so fortunate.

Be sure to watch the weather out there folks--and don't push your limits:
