I don't know what to make of this thread. Just trying to pass on information/impressions of the new R6 for those who haven't had a chance to go through the boat.
As to drinking regulations, if memory serves, in Canada we need to have a head and a sink to have open liquor on a boat. Inland lake enforcement is by RCMP and/or Coast Guard. In busier inland areas, the RCMP/Coast Guard has in the past "deputized" people working for Department of Natural Resources which oversees beaches (beach patrol) and I was once stopped close to shore for pulling two youth on a tube behind a 3 seater Sea Doo (lost count - the total can only be one in the tube because you need a spotter where I boat). I was issued a warning.
A poll of the female friends I boat with last night shows little need for a head. Most said they wouldn't use it and would be asked to be taken back to shore/clubhouse. Anyway, storage, head, changing room for kids - lots of space in there.
Don’t overthink it Bobrae. Just relax and let it happen.
I do appreciate your impressions of the boat. Now what I really want to know is if you’re a timeline guy or an order of release guy?
I personally think you honor the wishes of the people who produced and released the films. Watch them in the order they chose to release them not some random order you decided upon while debating pool vacuums and if horses can swim on the internet.
Speaking of I just remembered that the name hippopotamus comes from the Greek words for "water horse". I wonder if riding a Hippo would be a viable option for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police while patrolling the lakes of Canada?

Pins and needles..
You miss us A7? Some of us haven't been checking in to keep up for a bit, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring back some of the oldsckoolchat.
And a great job you (and others) made of that... the free association in this thread rivals anything I've ever seen.
More of what makes this the best forum on the 'net.
Yeah, keep on pudgying that had down harder.

I have to ask liquid do let the snakes and turtles in your pool?
If he does I can't understand why they would not be able to clean the pool while they were in there....would eliminate the need for a vacuum all together.

Bob, I would order one up. Personally, I would go an 8 with the 430 Merc.
You know, the VP has it all over the Merc, but I need that sound to be a real performance sounding boat.

I think I'm going to mount a bbq to the grab handle of the R6 on the starboard side and throw a pillow on the back lounger to qualify as sleeping accommodation (I can sleep anywhere).
I can hear it now, first with all of our social programs many Americans consider Canada a socialist country, now with the boating rules we'll be referred to as communist.

Bob... We're all still trying to understand the rules of no sink no alcohol? Why in the Thunder would that be a law? (Sorry t5billion. No harm meant)
Look lets applaud Bob for being solution oriented. He has overcome this silly law with nothing more than a pillow and a platform mounted grill. And we all know how well platform mounted grills work out. Wasn't there a discussion on greasy hotdogs rolling off onto nice seats at one point?
I think bbp needs to call up Grampa Pack on his flip phone and ask Cobalt to design a Canadian option package. It would come in only a maple leaf livery, inspired by the Canadian Flag of course.
The model would come standard with the smallest cooking area possible as well as a small head and sink, thus meeting this stupid law and allowing all aboard to consume adult beverages. They would sell like Dutchie's at Tim Hortons.

You seriously manual clean your pool?
Liquid....Aquabot T-4. set it and forget it. Toss it in, two- three hours later, it’s clean and perfect.

Actually Mrs. Liquid handles the pool vacuum and chemicals... which is why I’m shopping for a robot!

I suspect the Canadian rules are drafted in a way that limits the legal consumption of alcohol on boats. Maybe the government reasons that fewer people have "floating motorhomes" (toilet, sink, stove, bed, etc.) that people hopping on a speedboat, cracking open half a dozen beers and hitting the throttle. there that government goes trying to save us from ourselves.
Actually, I'm not much of a drinker and around here, the fewer people driving and boating, the better. Lake Winnipeg is like an inland ocean and every few years someone loses their life on it - almost always associated with drinking and poor decision making on when to head out on the water.
