Your not going to meet much of us before that Saturday though. You will be at the wrong end of the lake.

Switch your camping spot to somewhere on Indian Point, then you can do these God awful shots with us on Thursday night.Cruiser64 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:25 pmStory of my life BBP always at the wrong end of the action. I don’t want to show up looking like a rookie so what do I need to be prepared for?
For instance, anchor. What type bottom does TRL have where everyone hangs out?
Depth? How much rope will I need. A deep lake in south la is 12’. North la you can find 50-60’.

I use the larger digger anchor and 100’ of line. Most coves are 35-60’ deep. Channel is anything from 50-200’ deep. People like the box anchors too. Wray days are you going down? No particular spot but they're are a couple of popular ones we go to otherwise pull in a cove and drop anchor! I just follow this big white boat ahead of me in lane 10!

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
We arrive Wednesday the 26th leave on Sunday 8/1.
If my buddy’s schedule allows we may spent a couple days on Greers Ferry before heading up to TRL.
My condo rental is near Branson Bay Marina at the end of Emerald Point.

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
I’m a box anchor guy. I’ve thrown it in all over that lake, and it sticks every single time. I got it hooked on a tree last year and it took about 10 minutes to free it, but that’s the only issue I’ve had. 100’ of rope should be plenty for whatever you use.

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
So really Thursday you can spend running around the lake then. And Friday is the classic run. Which all of us will be there and Saturday is the regatta where all of us will be there so really you won't need to find that special place to anchor by yourself then. It will go by pretty fast.

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
That’s a nice spot to be at. Real close to the main regatta as it’s about 5 minutes down the channel. We’ll be around all week. I’m about a 7-10 minute boat ride from where you are staying.
