What Fuel/Water Separator to get??

Post by RAGS209 »

I'm looking to add a fuel water separator to an old (but in excellent shape) 1978 Cobalt Tri-Hull with 225hp OMC Sterndrive. The boat also has a new Suzuki 20hp outboard motor installed. The logic for the separator is to split the fuel line into 2 and also add extra layer of filtration the boat does not have now. Will also add a shut-off valve after the separator to each engine so one engine doesn't suck air from the other. It will be mounted in the engine compartment - not sure if that matters as I couldn't find any info about location for mounting.

I am looking at this model but want to know if there are better options available that I'm unaware of. Google searching for the best option leads really nowhere..

I'd like to see a picture of that engine configuration. I'm having trouble picturing a stern drive and an outboard on same boat.

Have you ever seen a trolling motor attached to a boat beside the outdrive? Same gig.
