We a long thread about it awhile back, look it up, but this is the cliff notes version.

The A series boats are designed for an older crowd who eat Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast at 4:30am and are in bed by 6pm sharp. While I don't own one I have heard they actually are built with a storage compartment for Werther's original hard candies so that grandparents can treat their grandkids after a fun day on the water.

The R series and its new sleek lines scream I am young, looking for fun, and have money to spend.

Think of it as a spending money on a Cadillac vs a Corvette if you will.

No idea how they ride, but I would assume pretty close. They are both heavy deep boats and Cobalt Hull designs generally ride well. I doubt you would be upset with either.

I lake tested an A25 and rode very nicely. The main reason we didn't get it was there was no bathroom which was a requirement of ours.

Anyone over age 53.😀 My mom had an orange 78 Mercury Bobcat, twin to the Pinto, just like the one in Charlie’s Angels. Boy were the big 3 making some crappy cars back then, lol.

Maybe crappy, but affordable. My dad bought my younger sister a brand new Pinto, no carpet or air, maybe 1972 or 73, under $1700.
