1997 253cc

Post by 1997253cc »

I have a 1997 253cc with a Mercruiser 7.4.
1. I want to replace the bilge blower. Does anyone know the size offhand? 3" or 4" probably.
2. There is a little piece of fiberglass on the stern that covers the through hull exhaust over the outdrive. I'm thinking I want to take this off. Has anyone else done this? Is the gel coat going to look bad there? I don't think the blue line continues into the compartment. I'd rather just have the exhaust not be muffled in that little compartment it creates over the water.

Hey 97 253cc. So glad you found us!

Not sure of your set up. Maybe this thread will help.

Any pics?

And welcome aboard mate!

I dont know if this helps. You can't really see the bilge blower in it.
I guess I can just measure next time we go boating.
