Muriatic acid isn't really all that bad for a lake in small quantities - same as stomach acid, for the most part. Oxalic acid is also found in plants, and is no biggie in small quantities. Still, I wouldn't go splashing gallons of it in nature, or you're bound to burn some spots.

All the bio kleen products are bio degradable. I'm not a chemist by any means. You could call then the owner answers the phone and he is the chemist great company. So far very happy with all there products. I used start brite hull cleaner before great stuff too. I wouldn't put it in that water but again I don't knew the end effects of it. John has a way better handle on it than myself. I've used Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on my red crownline and worked the best I that boat nothing else cleaned it very well. I would think it's safe for water as it goes down our drain! Right?

Ha! Correct!

Somehow I feel differently about what i put down the toilet then I do about my pristine lakefront but you're not wrong!

Cue the environmentalists.

liquid wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2015 11:54 am So here;s the short:

1 - Hot sauce to wipe down to get off hard water spots after each use
2 - Vinyl sauce to clean the vinyl after each use
3 - Condition sauce to UV protect after every 4 uses or a month of weekend use.
I'm curious about the vinyl sauce and condition sauce...it seems that using the cleaner (vinyl sauce) would wipe up the conditioner. Like with cleaning leather upholstery in a vehicle...you clean the leather, then put on the conditioner. So it seems like you'd have to go back and hit the areas you spot cleaned with the conditioner. Or is it not designed to work that way?

I'm looking at picking up a few of their products in anticipation for the boat getting here in a couple of weeks, so I'm just curious. I don't mean to nit pick your cleaning strategy.

I believe vinyl sauce will not remove the conditioner. It's like the hot sauce will not remove wax.

That's the way I think it works!

That's how Zach told me to use them and they work/seats look awesome. when i first get the boat a clean the Sh#t out of it with the Vinyl sauce - and I mean every inch of it including the floor. Then i coat every inch of vinyl in the conditioning sauce. It smells lovely.

Then the whole thing is spotless. I'll use the vinyl sauce here and there but my boat's white and the vinyl's white. No hard water (really) on my lake.

End of season I'll wash her and wax her. Thing looks brand new. Still. 15 years old.

Here at the Lake of the Ozarks, even a week in the water creates a brown stain on the gelcoat that is in the water. West Marine sells a product called Hull Cleaner, and we found that it saved a huge amount pf time getting that stain off. Wax afterward if you can.

I'm a big fan of the 303 Marine Multi-surface cleaner followed by the 303 Gold Eagle 303 Aerospace Protectant for my seats.

It's good stuff. The chemist that created it all created the BB products as well. FWIW.

Liquid, I have not used 303 on boat yet but use it religiously on the front of my motorhome. The manufacturer (of the motorhome) installs a protectant film on the front and recommends 303 after every trip. The bugs come off very easily. The other use many use it on is the tires because of it’s UV protection. This obviously would apply to trailer tires as well because of time spent in the sun. I have wondered about the vinyl in the boat but have not tried that.

Myself i don't kyser anything on tires. I personally think it dries them out. I am going to try BB conditioner now. I just ran out of the biokleen conditioner.

Kyser is one I'll have to add to my BBP dictionary. Once I have a guess what it means :)
