Stumbled across this thread...interesting to see what everyone tows with! This is my "tow rig"...original retirement plan was a heavy 5th wheel. After buying the truck in 2016, the EX-WIFE decided she didn't want to be "stuck" in the cab with me for weeks at a time. So, the dually has become my boat tow rig. I will say, I've never had any traction issues at the ramp and it runs straight as a string on the road!

That's a long wheelbase, too, which makes for smooth towing. Looks like you're all set to move up to an R30

Mainly to tow our travel trailer, it's only 25' long but with 800# of tongue weight and a lot of wood in the bed, we were over our rear axle rating on the Ford. This truck has 3300# of payload.

And also don't need a WDH with our Cobalt R5 now since it had a tongue weight of 600#
