That’s right. Once it goes over the spillway the can’t control flooding down stream. They are talking about opening more flood gates tomorrow. I think they have 8 open now, might be going to 10-12?

Read this morning that they have closed 4 of the gates and only 4 are open now on Mansfield Dam. They don't plan to open any more gates unless we get heavy rain.

Prediction is topping out at 704-706' elevation.

Here's a great site to get an overall view of what's going on:

More rain on the way. I hope Hurricane Willa stays south of us.

+1. Still waiting for electricity on my dock. Both sub panels were damaged due to high water. HOA is thinking later in the week they'll have been repaired. Until then, I'm on the sidelines.

I hope that's fixed now! I had to have them reset a breaker for my lift to work; luckily, and easy fix.

Starting to see Zebra Mussels on my dock. Really makes me angry that some fool didn't drain and dry his boat. Now they'll be all over the lake.

As long as you don't let your boat sit in the water all the time you're okay. From what I hear they are so invasive they are just about everywhere now, but they only cause problems in your outdrive and motor if you let it sit in the water. And when the engine heats up it kills them, so as long as your running on a regular basis it keeps them dead and flushed out before they can grow, nest and reproduce.

I wonder what these guys with the big cruisers do since they can't get up on a lift? It sure would make me think twice about buying anything that has to sit in the water because of its size.

Hey guys, great news. Is supposed to be close to 80 degrees with sunshine on Saturday. My boat is hitting the water. Set for the Big "W" first week in December, chances are this is my last run of 2018.
