Now it looks like something tropical may be brewing to screw up this weekend, but something tropical is exactly what the lakes need. I may never be able to field test my rebuilt raw water pump.

To answer your Travis level question, it is up about a foot, but considering the LCRA is or at least was very recently releasing water down river, a foot is pretty good.

Yeah, I suspect they're releasing water for the rice farmers where it can't be noticed. I saw the numbers and about 2/3 of the water used goes downstream. The sad part is that it is a numbers game. The water is not used when it is released. The rice is harvested. They just release the water and allow it to go to downstream to make the numbers balance for what was used earlier in the year.

That is crazy but not surprising finally saw some sun this afternoon but know more rain is coming, even if it doesn’t have a name. Only 5” of rain so far this month. Glad I am. It in the Carolinas.

LCRA showing a ton of flow in the Llano from the big rains last night. That should flow down to LBJ and will mean they'll release water down to Travis. Should see some good gains in the next few days, just in time for the first meaningful cool front making boating less than ideal.

Great temps, but it won't stop raining on the weekends!! Getting frustrated here.

Travis is already up a couple of feet this week.

Up to ~666, which means most public ramps should be opened back up, good sign for next season. I'm getting out one more time come hell or low water.

Lake was perfect today, boat didn't explode after I rebuilt the raw water pump and the new truck pulled flawlessly. Good end to the season. Now for the 50 degree temp drop to ring in fall.

Great to hear rrfisher. Any pics?

I heard this quote yesterday regarding fall temperatures.... "dropping from 90 to 50 faster than someone driving by a state trooper."

Enjoy what's left of the weather. 8-)

No pics from the water, we were under a time crunch and had to make as many runs on the tube as possible. "No time for pictures Dad!"

Did get one of the new truck though :)
